Coherence and Mess, Insights and Noise: The role for strategy in a converged world.

Account planning, brand strategy, analytics, cultural research, social listening, etc, etc. The name and number of strategic roles in communications companies continue to grow, evolve and often confuse.


Nick Barham will look at the planning’s role in inspiring and guiding great creative work. He will cover some of the range of skills that planners need and consider the ongoing tension between broad expertise and specialism. He will be joined by a number of TBWA\Chiat\Day strategists who represent the range and experience of planner-y work. From the youthful exuberance of the Planning Assistant to the battle-scarred wisdom of the Group Planning Director.


Sharing a mixture of personal experiences and the work of Chiat\Day\LA, the evening aims to provide a tangible and colorful sense of what it means and what it takes to have the word strategy somewhere in your job description.
