Ritu initiated her foray into the media world in Bombay, India. Once her passion for this career was established, she moved continents to learn about the academics of advertising. Ritu attained her Masters degree in Media Administration from the Newhouse School of Public Communications.
Ritu has worked for some of the top agencies in the last 17years - Ogilvy, Universal McCann Interactive, OMD, DraftFCB, Mindshare and Mediavest. And her brand responsibilities have been equally stellar IBM, American Express, Coca-Cola, Johnson & Johnson, Microsoft, General Electric, AOL, Lowe's Home Improvement, Sprint, Honda to name a few. In her last job at Mediavest as an EVP, she led digital investment for the entire agency with media giants such as Microsoft, Google, Twitter, and AOL.
In November, 2014, Ritu joined Microsoft and was the Head of US Brand Marketing. She led the US Trade Marketing team and activities ranging from crafting marketing strategies for Microsoft's largest key accounts and products to driving its presence and activations at events. With the recent sale of Microsoft sales to AOL, Ritu's new role is in Packaging Strategy. She is responsible for developing and releasing offerings based on data and insights that cover the value spectrum of cross-portfolio packages, sponsorships, and network promotions.
