thinkLA’s Professional Development classes inform and inspire individuals who work in the Los Angeles advertising, marketing and media community.
Our classes cover a wide array of relevant and thought-provoking topics, and we . By sourcing expert speakers in each discipline and/or area, our Professional Development offerings are a great way for attendees to get introduced to a new area of interest or strengthen their knowledge in their current field.
AdU classes vary from broad introductory overviews to interactive discussions and hands-on exercises. Some are perfect for junior to mid- level professionals, professors and college students. Others are designed for mid- to senior-level managers. Each one-night class is tailored for agency talent, and aims to challenge attendees through they leave with new insights that empower them at their jobs.
Presentation Skills Boot Camp
Presentation Skills Boot Camp is a multi-day course offered in the evenings by thinkLA, targeted specifically to the advertising and marketing industries. With sessions taught by Michael Weiss, students learn how to present confidently in a variety of situations, including internally to their peers and externally to their clients.

In Fall 2013, we launched our first M-School cohort class of 26 LMU undergraduates who will immerse themselves within the new world of marketing, branding and advertising through unique course offerings over a two year period. These courses include leading-edge content and instruction in advertising creative and media strategy, digital content creation, creative use of technology, the user experience, consumer insights, presentation/pitch skills, performance metrics and analytics, social media marketing, and much more!
