Since joining Amazon in 2012, Garrett has been a key player in the evolution of Amazon’s Automotive business, from a place to buy parts online to this year’s launch of Amazon Vehicles - a full-featured site that enables customers to research vehicle specs, read customer reviews, ask current owners questions and more.
In his current role Garrett directs the Automotive team’s digital media efforts, his team working directly with OEM’s and agencies to drive innovation, disruption and change in the automotive category. He has overseen a number of innovative partnerships with auto manufacturers, including nationally recognized “Prime Now/Drive Now”, a promotion with Hyundai that delivered test drives much like Amazon does products as well as executions involving Subaru’s National Parks initiative and Nissan’s stunt with Amazon Lockers.
Prior to Amazon, Garrett led the Southwest sales team for YuMe, was a Strategic Account Director at Yahoo! and developed Live365.com’s B2B sales channel as Director, New Business. Garrett was born and lives in Los Angeles with his wife, daughter, and the newest addition to their family, a poodle mix rescue.
