ThinkLA | DIG Discussion: The Brown Effect- a BIPOC Conversation

-

Thank you for joining us for our honest discussion with a stellar panel focused on fostering a culture of diversity for companies and their diverse workforce.

We addressed moving beyond the hiring process and dug deeper into how companies should engage BIPOC employees by understanding the essence, creativity, and culture by listening to employees as they bring ideas for change to HR, DEI, or their recruiting teams and by including all seen and unseen intersectionalities which are a comprehensive make-up of the whole person.

It's not just about checking a box and falling into the trap of Inclusion Illusion.

We learned that 76% of companies are self-reporting DEI initiatives and that a few ways to enact learning are to look for diversity champions in your company if the leadership isn't moving forward with change or start a DEI Slack channel.

Set realistic small wins and keep pushing!

It shouldn't be expensive to be yourself!
